A couple weeks ago I traveled to Vancouver, feeling exhilarated while on the 28th floor balcony of our hotel, amidst the skyline and overlooking downtown and the waterfront. Although I gave up my pseudo-photography hobby I still couldn't help but to take a few blackberry shots embodying the great scene, full of life, fantastic memories and terrific people.

Previously I wrote about how seven Bahá’ís were being held in jail solely because of their Faith. Earlier this past week, these seven Bahá’ís were sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. Freedom of religion should be the birthright of people of all faiths and beliefs in all places. These individuals have done no wrong, and at every stage of the case - from their illegal detention and the brutal conditions of their confinement, through the trial, and now to a completely unlawful imprisonment - not even the most basic and fundamental norms of justice were respected. Read more about the history of this harsh sentence here: Bahá’í World News Service and contact your Congressional representative to support any actions which will be able to shine a spotlight on the Iranian government's behavior. Words can have an effect in making the Iranian authorities aware that they cannot violate basic standards of international human rights unseen by a watchful world.

Inspired by some of my very good friends and their amazing pictures, I decided to take up photography. This lasted 72 hours, after I realized that the digital camera I owned was from 1998, the shutter speed takes longer than dial-up internet, and that I have no money to invest into this (expensive) hobby. Below are about a dozen of the hundreds of random photos I took from three days in Los Angeles last week. Thanks to Poladroid, I was able to make them look cooler than they actually are! ;)

In 1998, I was in France. In 2002, I was in Costa Rica. Four years ago, I was in NYC. This year I will be at home ... And in four years, I am hoping to be in Brazil. Wherever I am watching, I will always love the game and the spirit of the World Cup. Looking forward to Sunday's final match!

Karl reminds us that the lion is the king of the jungle and that Chanel is the king of fashion.

Thursday, July 01, 2010

It is my birthday on Saturday and I am hoping for a Chanel dress, YSL pumps and a Miu Miu handbag ... but a cupcake with sprinkles and ice cream would be just as lovely.

Are these real bones?

And if so, can someone please cut off a limb and help me create my new favorite shoe?

This is what I love: Leo sporting a Bruins cap at the Lakers game. The excitement for tonight is intense - lets get Kobe that 5th ring, boys!

Thanks to Rauz and her affinity for documenting her life (because she wont remember if she doesnt have the photo?) here are photos from a make-shift memorial at UCLA for John Wooden. Rest in peace, Coach. Your legacy will live on not only at UCLA and throughout sports, but for all who endeavor to become better leaders.

For the few past years Gisele has wowed everyone at the Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, from her cut-out gown to a short sparkly mini. This year was no exception, and it proved, once again, that Gisele and Tom are the most beautiful couple in the world. The Beckhams might have to surrender their reigning crowns now.

More evidence I should have been an artist (or just that I need to get out of the house?): making a garden out of play-doh.

Spotted Lukas Haas puffing on a cigar outside of Goal on West 3rd. I reminded him how I saw him last June and even showed him the photo we have together, however he had to get back to his "timed" chess game. Ugh. My plan to be part of the inner DiCaprio friends circle seems to have been thwarted by a checkmate.

you know you love me, t.

Britney doesn't care about wearing white before Memorial Day, and neither should you - I mean, look at those cute glasses and amazing smile! Don't call it a comeback ...

I might not be sitting front row at Rodarte like Kristen Dunst:

But I can still pull off the same Rodarte skirt:

This is what I do when I am bored at Madewell.

Someone please find me a job. For your sake and Madewell's.

From (girl-next-door) Dooney & Bourke to (classy) Miu Miu and (trendy sophisticate) Emanuel Ungaro to (disgusting) Ed Hardy. My heart hurts. I am SO OVER you, Linds. Wearing Ed Hardy is a sign that you are 1) still stuck in 2005 and 2) a loser.

You obviously don't care anymore. And now, neither do I.

Naw Ruz is this weekend, which means one thing -- all of Tehrangeles is shopping this week for new outfits to wear while celebrating the first day of Spring in style. And according to the massive billboard on Santa Monica Boulevard, we all get a free dental examination courtesy of Janet khanum! Best holiday ever?

This is what I looked like for the past couple months:

But now that Gossip Girl is back in my life I can continue to emulate Blair - and apparently so should this 90201er ;)

Monday, March 01, 2010

Hello and welcome to 2010. Wait, what? It is March already? Jeez, I totally didn't notice, in between graduating from law school and running Fashionable Earth and jetting from ATL to NYC back to LA and taking the CALIFREAKINONIA BAR EXAM. So, yeah, I'm back? Call me?

Sunday, September 27, 2009

So, this time, in my quest for Leonardo DiCaprio's love, something amazing happened - in Venice today, he learned about Fashionable Earth, took one of our business cards, and promised Neda and Tammy to check out our website and contact us.

I. LOVE. YOU. LEO. FOREVER.

GO. GREEN.

Spotted - BFF Leonardo DiCaprio and Lukas Haas at the Century City Mall. After spotting Lukas back in November, and running after Leonardo and his girlfriend Bar Rafaeli in February, I finally mustered up the courage to speak to them, and by them, I only really mean Leonardo. He looked nervous as I told him about my previous stalking endeavors, but was very nice and charming, and we all took blackberry photos together. My next effort will be getting his digits :)
