For the few past years Gisele has wowed everyone at the Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, from her cut-out gown to a short sparkly mini. This year was no exception, and it proved, once again, that Gisele and Tom are the most beautiful couple in the world. The Beckhams might have to surrender their reigning crowns now.

More evidence I should have been an artist (or just that I need to get out of the house?): making a garden out of play-doh.

Spotted – Lukas Haas puffing on a cigar outside of Goal on West 3rd. I reminded him how I saw him last June and even showed him the photo we have together, however he had to get back to his "timed" chess game. Ugh. My plan to be part of the inner DiCaprio friends circle seems to have been thwarted by a checkmate.

Spotted - BFF Leonardo DiCaprio and Lukas Haas at the Century City Mall. After spotting Lukas back in November, and running after Leonardo and his girlfriend Bar Rafaeli in February, I finally mustered up the courage to speak to them, and by them, I only really mean Leonardo. He looked nervous as I told him about my previous stalking endeavors, but was very nice and charming, and we all took blackberry photos together. My next effort will be getting his digits :)

Right after I come back from India, I find my new issue of Vogue May 2009 with Indian supermodel Lakshmi Menon gracing the cover. The spread inside is devoted to her hometown of Goa, where we spent 4 days. The photos really capture India’s beautiful culture, and I am so delighted to to have experienced Goa and Delhi. Namaste!

Just came back from India, am still on sensory overload and dreaming of the bold and bright colors, the refreshing temples, and the benevolence of the people. Thank you to Sid and Mona for a brilliant time and a beautiful wedding!

I did that today at the Century City Mall (as I do EVERYDAY) and I loved it. And then one of the girls asked me if I went to Beverly High- best conversation EVER!

I don’t care if she looks like the main character in “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?” - Mischa looks fab here. I want to be able to rock those rings and that hat! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, there is no way homegirl wears Keds apart from the ad campaign.

Spotted – Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Rafaeli walking together at the Century City Mall. After walking past them [and regaining my composure] I turned around and waited about three feet away for Leo to finish signing autographs for a few ten year-old girls. He glanced up, saw me coming after him, and he and his supermodel girlfriend turned around and started to run away from me... I can seriously die happy now. Leo and I made eye contact. Even though there was a bit of fear in his eyes.

Wonderful – the Chanel Spring 2009 Haute Couture Collection – everything in the collection is white, or black and white. Most impressive? All the flowers, headpieces and little caps were created from paper! Oh, Karl, you are so creative in this time of economic downsizing. Get your scissors and construction paper out, kids. We are going to make this happen!

Probably you have already heard it from your other friends in Los Angeles, but I wanted to make sure that I drove the point home. It has been over 80 degrees lately here. According to a production assistant, Karl Lagerfeld had specific demands at his set for Chanel’s latest ad campaign:

“He requested seven loaves of Pennsylvania Wheat Bread and a tub of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter to be brought directly from New York to the set. My only job was bringing him the bread and the fake butter. Karl paid me $500 to do it, plus he paid off my $200 speeding ticket.”

The only payment I would request would be in form of a Chanel purse!

Four years ago, as I was flying back to Los Angeles from New York City, I watched the coverage of the Democratic National Convention on the plane. Even though I am not really into politics or politicians, I sat, riveted, as a young senator from Illinois gave a powerful and moving speech. Landing back in LA, I called up my friends and gave my nostradamus prediction for President in 2016 (assuming it was too early for him in 2008 or 2012). But, now, it seems as if the United States - and the world - is ready for him - and let us hope that he is also ready for us. No major news outlet has called it yet, but I am - congrats to the 44th President of the United States of America, Mr. Barack Hussein Obama II.

Spotted – C-list celebrities, models galore, a Project Runway finalist, and a couple of new-90210ers dancing at the GQ lounge at the Roosevelt Hotel Saturday night. Perhaps Jerell Scott will now make a dress influenced by a Persian girl and her friends following him around. Gosh, I wonder who that could be? ;)

Have you ever had those moments where you just love Los Angeles so much that you take it in your arms and squeeze it so hard that you don’t realize until it’s too late that you’ve crushed all of its adorable little bones in your delirious, smothering embrace? I’m kinda having one right now after the Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion 2008 Runway Show on Friday night at the Petersen Automobile Museum hosted by Mandy Moore. Rising talents who showcased their collections were Nanushka, Quail, Wayne Hadly, Peonie, Wayf, K.Z.O., Laeken, and Maxine Dillon.

My thoughts? Quail designer Michelle Nguyen Williams paired all her models with the Alice + Olivia for Payless Rivington Ankle boots, in a moment of high fashion meets the streets. Everyone in the crowd – including models walking for Laeken – wore nerdy (made cool by hipsters) glasses. And choice songs of the season include Lykke Li’s Little Bit and MGMT’s Time to Pretend. But, really, no fashion show could ever feature as much scandal, outrage, rumors, and shocking behavior as Eleanor Waldorf’s on Gossip Girl ;)

Spotted – Heidi Montag with an unidentified agent type on the corner of Santa Monica and Canon, waiting to cross the street. Three things I noticed before realizing it was Heidi: (1) too much collagen filled lips; (2) too much bleach blonde hair; (3) is that a dress or a shirt?
